No. 6-seeded Massachusetts was thumped by No. 11-seeded Tennessee 86-67 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 21. The game was essentially decided by halftime, with Tennessee up 41-22.

Massachusetts fell to George Washington 85-77 in conference play on Friday, March. 14. Maxie Esho got a game-high 22 points and seven rebounds for the Minutemen. Chaz Williams also had a good game, scoring 19 points and adding seven assists. Joe McDonald finished with 12 points and seven assists for the Colonials.

With two outings that included a team season high in scoring, T.J. Warren, a 6-8 sophomore from NC State, has won the StatSheet NCAA Player of the Week. StatSheet's NCAA Freshman of the Week is Devin Williams from West Virginia and Todd Mayo from Marquette is StatSheet's NCAA 6th Man of the Week.
